Vacation Relief/Clinical Assistants (Ongoing position)

Description

UWS Clinics have openings for Vacation Relief/Clinical Assistants.

The Vacation Relief Clinical Assistant's chief responsibility is to provide either the Attending Physician or the Clinical Assistant at the Campus Clinic or other off-site clinical training sites, with support in supervising the delivery of patient care and the education of interns. The hourly rate of pay for the Vacation Relief/Clinical Assistant varies as listed below and there are no benefits associated with this appointment.

Vacation Relief Standard $22.00 per hour
Vacation Relief Working Alone $24.00 per hour
Vacation Relief West Burnside Clinic $25.00 per hour

Requirements

* Graduate of a CCE-accredited college and two years experience.
* Possess an active Oregon DC license
* Have a current CPR certificate.

Responsibilities

1. Observes interns in routine cases and assists in history taking and examination procedures. Notifies the Attending Physician or Clinical Assistant when a routine case needs his/her intervention.

2. Reviews, observes and evaluates all Report of Findings.

3. Observes and assesses chiropractic adjustments/manipulations and provides written and/or verbal feedback to the intern.

4. Assists interns with administrative and/or treatment procedural questions.

5. Reviews appointment schedule before each shift and reminds interns about:
a. SHC patient simulation appointment
b. Observer appointments
c. BIB patients/file reviews
d. Other tracking tasks assigned by Attending Physician, Clinical Assistant or Dean of Clinics and are familiar with and executes the protocols for these programs.

6. Reads, understands and will act in accordance with all Federal HIPAA requirements plus those HIPAA standards established by UWS for protecting the security and privacy of patient health data.

7. Performs other duties as assigned by the Attending Physician, Clinical Assistant or Dean of Clinics.
